About Me
First and foremost I believe in story. I want to tell stories through my designs, my clothes, and all of my art. Our stories make up who we are and they are meant to be shared with the world. Theatre is my favorite way to share those stories. It is a beautiful collaborative experience that allows an audience to step into another place and live, if but for a moment, in different shoes- hopefully they are some fabulous Victorian boots! The costumes, though one of many things, help create that place and bring both the actors and the audience there.
Secondly, I know that as an artist I have been given a true joy, that is, to create. That joy for me is also a challenge and a commission that cannot be kept for myself. I have to love what I create, but if no one else sees that beauty, I haven't lived up to the challenge. I hope as you look through my work you see that beauty.
